Preferably the tablets should be taken in the morning and evening.

The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of infection. For women with acute, uncomplicated inflammation of the bladder, the usual duration of treatment is a 3 day course of this medicine with the recommended dose.
In the treatment of urinary tract infections, adults will generally need to use this medicine for 7-10 days. In chronic inflammation of the prostate the usual duration of treatment is 4 weeks.
The symptoms of urinary tract infection, such as a burning sensation experienced during passing water, pain, and fever, will generally disappear within 1-2 days.
However, the treatment course with this medicine should be continued for up to 12 weeks in chronic relapsing urinary tract infections.
If you take more Norfloxacin 400 mg than you should If you have taken a double dose, you only need to contact your doctor if side effects occur. Continue taking your medicine regularly as prescribed.
Wax in the ear can swell and block the canal and dampen hearing to varying degrees, creating a temporary conductive hearing loss. In more severe or untreated cases, the infection can rarely spread to the adjacent soft tissues, such as parotid gland and the jaw joint, making chewing painful.
Patients with diabetes mellitus and advanced age above 60 years are at risk for necrotizing otitis externa, perhaps due to a higher pH in diabetic cerumen, and microangiopathy in the ear canal.
In malignant external otitis, classic signs of infection including fever, leukocytosis, and systemic toxicity are notably absent, thus making diagnosis difficult. Otalgia followed by severe and often excruciating headache is the most common presenting symptom.
CHMP stated that doctors should not prescribe oral norfloxacin for complicated pyelonephritis and should consider switching patients already taking oral norfloxacin transmitted diseases by some experts due to bacterial resistance.
Contraindications As noted above, under licensed use, norfloxacin is also now considered to be contraindicated for the treatment of certain sexually for this type of infection to an alternative antibiotic.
